Roadtrip 2016 Spring: Vancouver - Seaside - Yachats - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 14 - Yachats to Seaside

Mar Clair - No More. But Tillamook Council is considering proposals to place the sign on the historic register.

Only a bunch of Tillamookans would concoct the idea to integrate the ass end of their public bus, with a graphic ass end of a cow and incorporate a flashing yield/merge sign right across the business zone. Leaves you a little speechless.

Meantime up in Rockaway Beach there is a new entry in the most horrific beach fast food competition.

The Coney island that is Seaside.

Lots of action in Seaside central - yes the shorts and short sleeved tops are totally justified - parts of the coast hit 90F today - yes it is April 17.

The fine print on the hut reads, "4 Laps $2.00 - fun for all ages". Really.

We had to come across one of these at some point - a prime specimine - and a long ways north in the migration.

The top-secret sea trials of the all-new NASBOAT racing series. Everybody wants to see the good ol' boys trading paint on the high seas. While trash talkin'.

Emma finally gets a designated parking spot.

Unheard of - dining al fresco at Newman's in April. We've never been able to do this before. Just as delicious as eating in - we accepted the chef''s recommendation and tried the prix fix tasting menu.

The added al fresco bonus - Emma joins us tableside.
